About Us
The Edward G. Callister Foundation is dedicated to increasing public awareness of the individual, family and societal problems associated with substance abuse. The Foundation is committed to the support of research, education and scientifically-based treatment.
The Foundation was established with funding from Louis H. and Ellen G. Callister in honor of their son Edward who died in a single car accident. Edward was an engaging young man and an avid football player. He suffered from substance misuse and ADHD (Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), a common and treatable neuropsychiatric disorder.
